The Berenestain Bears was a secular, inoffensive IP that some reactionaries bought and turned into right wing Christian propaganda.

We need an LGBT inverse. A right wing Christian property that we make friendly and secular.

I've been wondering about lately. With the 's accommodate religion decision, why not design your own religion so it forces progress in , , , and similar issues? For example, what if you designed a religion that requires self-care ceremonies, where if you're engaged in labor for hire, periodically, you must perform your choice of several self-care rituals, like drinking some water, meditating, taking a walk, praying, going to the bathroom, or communicating with your community. If employers are supposed to accommodate religious beliefs, then let's see them accommodate the required self-care rituals from YOUR religion.

So instead of stealing a "Christian property," let's steal itself.

has done some of this, but Satanic Imagery isn't for everyone. And your core tenets in your religion may differ, or even overlap. It's your religious beliefs. How strategic can we make them?

The idea of self-care is useful because if you believe you are one with your God, Energy, Force, etc. then taking care of yourself is honoring your God, Energy, Force, etc. A notion that your God is jealous, could support requiring these rituals, to show you put your God above your employer, otherwise you are other idol'ing. Not everyone wants a sin-based religious construct. That's OK too.

I haven't looked into what it takes to be recognized as a religion. I imagine those Indian peyote and Rastafarian cases would be useful. This court does what it wants, but I can image the Supreme Court would have to do a lot of squirming if it tries to dive into what religions deserve protection under the and which ones don't.
