One of my housemates in the second year at university for #ThrowbackThursday today. It was a pretty grotty house we lived in but his room was an absolute tip, yet he was also a girl magnet who had no shortage of lady visitors he was perfectly okay with bringing back there.
Remembering those good times back in the early 1990s when I used to go every weekend to buy a book and then head to that park in San Jose, Costa Rica. I would sit on that cement bench with a large iced tea and read for hours.
Wish to be young again.

I’m about 50/50 on David Berman’s musical output. THIS album is hands down my favorite, but with the exception of Tanglewood Numbers, I don’t really need much else.
I’ve listened to a LOT of his music, and nothing really stands up to this album for me.
“Smith And Jones Forever” is such an amazing tune, and it was the first Berman song I ever heard, and the reason why I bought this on CD in the #90s .
And let me just cut off all the “Yeah but what abouts” off at the pass right now.
That Purple Mountains album he made before he killed himself is not for me. I can appreciate the artfulness, but… once was enough.
Not for me.
