Music and reading have been so important to me throughout my life. And have been essential in the last couple of weeks.
And I’m having a bit of a renaissance with both.
I recently got my (incomplete) #TerryPratchett collection, and have started reading again. Currently reading #TheTruth.
Have also rediscovered the #B52s - new favourites include #Wig and #GirlFromIpanemaGoesToGreenland.

This #b52s song, particularly the intro and the hook sounds like it belongs in a video game - how does it sound so #retro yet ahead of its time simultaneously?
I adore the whole oeuvre of artists talking about other artists who had a large impact on them, even moreso when it crosses genre boundaries, double secret even moreso when they're talking about #Devo and #B52s

Musical Interlude: Listened to these guys for the first time in ages...hard to decide what to post from this album. Their most recognizable song is probably a cliche by now...this lesser track is a favorite of mine, a nice bit of raunchy guitar work and mildly suggestive lyrics.
