@ubi4me Massachusetts is pretty great though. They also “banned the box”, which means employers can’t ask if someone has a criminal record unless the job they’re applying for specifically requires them to pass background checks. Like obviously if you’re trying to be a prison guard or a daycare worker they can ask you about your criminal record.
It’s just that if you want to be an admin assistant or work at 7-11 or whatever it’s none of their business.
We need more of this.
