“There are innocent people being hurt. Badly. Needlessly,” the contractor said.

He said American staff on the sites monitor those coming to seek food & document anyone considered “suspicious.” He said they share such information with the #IDF.

Spain terminates an Israeli ammo contract after uproar threatened to topple the coalition.

After the Spanish press revealed that Madrid had ordered 15 million bullets from an Israeli military firm last fall, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced the €6.6 million contract would be nixed, in a bid to quell the backlash that nearly split the country’s coalition government.

#Bullets are joining the list of merchandise peddled to consumers as they exit at a growing number of stores around the country.

Dallas-based start-up "American Rounds" rolled its first
💥automated retail ammo machine 💥into a Fresh Value grocery store in Pell City, Alabama, late in 2023,
selling various brands of rifle, shotgun and handgun ammo.

The company advertises its machines as a safer and more convenient way to buy ammo than at a large retail store or online.

But public health experts have questioned whether the company’s suicide prevention efforts are sufficient,
and elected officials in areas where machines were set up have worried that the easy availability of ammunition could lead to impulsive purchases by people who seek to do harm.

“If you’re in the ammunition space … you have a social responsibility to make things as safe as possible while maintaining the integrity of the Second Amendment,” American Rounds CEO Grant Magers told The Washington Post. “We wanted to accomplish both.”

A New York Times investigation conducted last year found that shooters have used bullets from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in at least 12 high-profile mass shootings, including at a supermarket in Buffalo (2022), a movie theater in Aurora (2012), a concert venue in Las Vegas (2017), and schools in Parkland (2018) and Uvalde (2022).[1] Over a year after these troubling revelations came to light, the Pentagon is STILL allowing Lake City to pump “billions of rounds of military-grade ammunition into the commercial market.” It’s no wonder the US has such a high rate of mass shootings. #GunControl #WeaponsManufacturers #Bullets #USArmy
