We headed north out from Dukinfield through <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Heyrod" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Heyrod</span></a>, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Mossley" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Mossley</span></a>, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Greenfield" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Greenfield</span></a> and <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Uppermill" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Uppermill</span></a> before starting the long climb from <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Delph" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Delph</span></a> up <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MarsdenMoor" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MarsdenMoor</span></a>. At the top of the moor we headed west down the fast, but windy, descent over the <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/M62" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>M62</span></a> motorway before turning left again taking us to <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ScammondenDam" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ScammondenDam</span></a>. From there we headed across country taking in a few 10% plus-ers before hitting the main road that climbed to the top of <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/CraggVale" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CraggVale</span></a>. Another windy but speedy drop took us the the cafe in <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Littleborough" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Littleborough</span></a> for coffee and refuel before the ride home through <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Newhey" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Newhey</span></a>, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Shaw" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Shaw</span></a>, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Lees" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Lees</span></a> and <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Dukinfield" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Dukinfield</span></a>. Lovely countryside, hard as nails, but so rewarding. Our <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Portuguese" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Portuguese</span></a> rider, Emidio, wasn't feeling too good so I promised to keep the route as flat as possible and at a super manageable pace. And I held that promise true! Just around 64km with about 350m of elevation, so not that hard and it was really nice and steady. We headed west towards <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ManchesterAirport" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ManchesterAirport</span></a>, into a 30kph headwind, then turned just after <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Ashley" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Ashley</span></a> to head east with a stop at <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Mobberley" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Mobberley</span></a> Ice Cream Farm (near <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Wilmslow" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Wilmslow</span></a>). The only serious climb of the day was up <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/ArtistsLane" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ArtistsLane</span></a> and the <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/WizardTeaRooms" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WizardTeaRooms</span></a> are at the top of the climb so a great place to stop for coffee and to refuel. And it gave Emidio the chance to take the obligatory selfie of us all (L-R Jon, Dan, Paul, me, Ash, Emidio). The cafe is in a glorious setting, near the bottom of <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/BlazeHill" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BlazeHill</span></a>. And you get the chance to see <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/WhiteNancy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WhiteNancy</span></a> . The only drawback today was my chain snapping at the bottom of the Climb Of Doom, a.k.a. <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Chadkirk" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Chadkirk</span></a>. I managed to get that sorted but walked up the climb as I didn't want to risk using my excessive wattage again in case I snapped it one more time. For scale, I rested Osgar the Orro by our Phil. That's where this image was taken.
