Tired Aid Worker<p>Timely news today as I finished participating in a <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PNW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PNW</span></a> collaborative workshop with environmental health and emergency management colleagues from King County, Vancouver BC, and Multnomah to address impacts from climate change in our region. As a former <a href="https://toot.community/tags/AmeriCorpsVISTA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AmeriCorpsVISTA</span></a> and <a href="https://toot.community/tags/PeaceCorps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PeaceCorps</span></a> volunteer myself, and as someone who has leveraged <a href="https://toot.community/tags/FEMACorps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FEMACorps</span></a> and <a href="https://toot.community/tags/ConservationCorps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ConservationCorps</span></a> teams in my work, I laud this administration creating a <a href="https://toot.community/tags/ClimateCorps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateCorps</span></a> program to address climate change <a href="https://www.npr.org/2023/09/20/1200483937/biden-climate-corps-job-training" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">npr.org/2023/09/20/1200483937/</span><span class="invisible">biden-climate-corps-job-training</span></a></p>
