I am slowly, but surely, hitting up a lot of my older DVDs and Blurays and re-ripping them; this time making sure to use free/libre codecs and to include optional commentary audio tracks, bonus features and other things that I didn't include the first time around. I won't re-do everything I've ever ripped, but I've been doing this a while and a lot of my older movies I really didn't have a process down pat so besides using less efficient codecs I left a lot of things out.

On the one hand, I instantly had a cold sweat when I saw the SMART failures. On the other hand, it’s mildly reassuring that the SMART monitoring does indeed provide some heads up about impending doom.
I really need to find a better way to back up these 96TB.

Finally finished backing up my Bluray discs for #Farscape to my server and it takes up almost 1TB for 4 seasons and the Peacekeeper Wars.
I'm not sure if this would run into the realm of piracy or not, hopefully not, but does anybody have DVDs of season 9 of #MASH that I could get ISOs from before I spend money re-ordering it? Every other season so far has read just fine, but season 9's discs are cooked from age and my PC won't even recognize the name of the disc.
I'm about to fire up dvdisaster but I seriously doubt I'm going to get anywhere with the discs looking like this.
Found my first DVD that just straight up will not read because of delamination of the disc. I have "a" copy of these episodes transcoded, but I'm working on re-transcoding to AV1, adding the "No laugh track" audio I missed last time, etc. and am planning on keeping ISOs of these discs for long term usage. I may have to re-order a copy of just this season so I can rip it properly.
Re-ripping some of the shows and movies from my collection into #AV1 and I may have to start keeping the full ISO disc images of at least the things I'm particularly fond of. My DVD set of M*A*S*H is starting to delaminate and form bubbles around the center. Everything still reads OK, but it may not for much longer.
A user on the DataHoarders subreddit was recently inquiring about historical AQI data from US embassies around the world.
The historical data was hosted at dosairnowdata.org which is dead.

How should I digitize my bullet journal?
I've been thinking of photographing each spread and dumping them in a directory with the file names 001-002.jpg
for pages one and two, etc. and then maybe converting them into a PDF with ImageMagick.
