This #VoteBlueToSaveDemocracy is hollow as we don't functionally have a #Democracy!

It ain't #Direct, #Participatory, #Deliberative, #Radical and #Revolutionary.

We have no Democracy, #voting is a scam with no Paper Ballot to have a recount and our voting systems are so hackable by 5th Grade levels of intelligence, we don't have real #Elections which no one talks about.

Look up Greg Palast as he said these issues before in the 2000's!

On deliberative democracy:

Miguel Egler - "Can We Talk It Out?"

Abstract: I argue that the most prominent epistemic defences of #deliberative #democracy fail. Relying on empirical findings on the workings of implicit bias, I show that they overstate the epistemic virtues of political deliberation. I also argue that findings in cognitive and social psychology can aid in the development of a new and improved generation of epistemic arguments for deliberative democracy.

Highly recommend this recording of today’s #NatCen & #KingsCollegeLondon seminar on making #deliberative #democracy part of everyone’s lives. To paraphrase @OliverEscobar

#Deliberation is a way of communicating as old as humanity, it’s not a #Eurocentric story

And Claudia Chwalisz from #DemocracyNext

Taking part in deliberative processes can have a transformative effect on people, it can ignite their sense of #agency

Introduction:

Hi, I’m a political science postdoc researcher at the Computational Social Science Lab @Uni_Stuttgart

My roots are research on attitudes, #participation, and #voting behavior. My dissertation on participatory and #deliberative #democracy on local level brought me to python, webscraping and machine learning. #AI

I consider causal reasoning to be the most important part of statistical modeling. #DAG #DGP

What else to say? I love teaching #rstats the #baseR way!
