FACES. We all have them. They fascinate me. Expressions in particular - from subtle to extreme.

A look from above down at a 70’s orange counter with blue and black heavy ceramic mug that has had milk steamed in it and then an espresso pulled on top, resulting in a totally random pattern. This could be a horse faced character but there’s also enough material for a cuttle fish perhaps.

From the hike a couple days ago. I didn’t look real close at the time, just figured it was some kind of cocoon, but in retrospect I guess it could be a slime mold.

rough gray tree bark texture with a spongy off-white mass on the side. Close examination shows lots of hair like structures, much like a slime mold (dog vomit) but it also looks a bit like some type of moth cocoon. There are a couple breaks in the surface, the biggest in the middle like something either came out or a woodpecker was rooting around. The hole also looks like a nose with an accompanying small mouth below and eye in upper left (no right eye)

high speed frame grab of soda bottle being inflated from small “slug” of plastic into the final form within a mold (Coke bottle in this case). There’s a bit of light and maybe a dimple, that gives the impression of a surprised face. The mold is made out of steel I would suspect and this image is only showing one half of it.

Spire at top of Smithfield United Church of Christ in Pittsburgh which is a latticework of metal. There appears to be a walking area below that and maybe a bell tower inside? The sky behind it (and seen through the lattice) is a blue sky with thin, fluffy clouds vying for a spot. If you were someone who saw faces in things then that cloud on the left surely looks like an aardvark.
