And later disappointed it's *still* restricted to 802.11g.</p><p>But configuring <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/lagg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lagg</span></a> in <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/failover" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>failover</span></a> mode over lan and <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/wifi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wifi</span></a> is an awesome feature, and as this machine will be operated almost 100% of time in a docking station connected via 1000-BaseT, its fine for now. Still hoping to see newer wifi standards supported ... I see there's work going on from bugzilla and other sources.</p>

Larvitz :fedora: :redhat:<p>My DSL based internet access has been unreliable for weeks now and the provider can’t find the problem or provide me with a permanent solution. 3-5 connection drops every day and it takes 5-10 minutes to reestablish connectivity. A major problem for someone, working entirely from home. </p><p>I now got myself an “UnFi LTE Backup Pro” and a mobile data plan and added that to my dream machine powered network.</p><p>Little bit expensive, but it remediates the problem. The Unify LTE Pro is PoE powered and has decent data rates at my location. Ed 👾🎮💻<p>I bought the unit on Thursday and set it up on Friday, specifically testing the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/LoadBalancing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LoadBalancing</span></a> and <a href="https://mas.to/tags/failover" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>failover</span></a> features. </p><p>Hells bells, Margaret, it works as advertised. </p><p>Not only does it work, but it is crazy loaded with features. Like, to a point where I’m still not sure why this thing is so cheap?</p><p>So now, my network is functioning with a pretty nifty router handling my primary and backup Internet connections. And more importantly, ready to failover as soon as the primary goes offline.</p><p>6/</p>
