#funfact: Honshu #Japan is larger than both #Georgia, the US state and the country combined! I thought the state would be larger, cause Honshu is so skinny, but nope. In a battle of size, the state (153,911 km²) and the country (69,700 km²) are no match for Honshu (225,800 km²) But the state beats every other island in the archipelago, and the country is only smaller than Hokkaido (83,423 km²) .

New Zealand is larger than it looks too.🤔

@aaronsgiles #FunFact since #macOS Mojave, Quicklook hasn't been able to be configured to zoom images *up* (when you have its window fullscreened on a second display) to fill your screen, and will always display them at 1:1 if they're smaller.

If you ever want to write another viewer that can be fullscreened to one display, while leaving a file browser for sorting / moving images open on another...

@didoesdigital @wezm #FunFact (I heard): while formal spoken and written languages vary between Subject, Object, Verb (I, the door, open), and Subject, Verb, Object (I, open, the door), all ad hoc signed communication, defaults to Subject, Object, Verb. This appears to be a universal, cross-cultural phenomenon.

A quick #funfact about flying the #Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet in my #Xplane #flightsim

A few weeks ago, on final to Lake Tahoe, the plane froze up and I dumped it into the lake. On the panel are only switches for pitot and windshield heat, both were on.

Just this past week I learned there is a way to build a keyboard shortcut to turn ALL ice protection on, which turns on the X-plane version of a TKS weeping wing.

Went up into -30C +precip WX, and it stayed flying.

Problem solved.

#funFact
“If the S&P 500 ends at least 4% Monday - which would mark its third straight day of a losses of 4% or greater - this would mark the first time since the Great Depression in 1933 it has notched such large back-to-back consecutive losses, according to the Carson Group's Ryan Detrick.”

"This would also be only the third time in history the broad market index has finished 4% or lower for three straight days, all of which were during the Great Depression.”

@koenvh #FunFact: THIS is actually real when it comes to #OnionServices on #Tor / @torproject despite (or rather because of) having a self-routing and self-administrating, self-authentificating namespace utilizing #Pubkeys for addressing.

Mine merely covers a few #BonaFide ones and there are literal #scam businesses when it comes to the kinds of sites I won't name nor list!

This is a list of substantial, commercial-or-social-good mainstream websites which provide onion services. - alecmuffett/real-world-onion-sites
