merigold<p>A friend told me she had planned to get a classic pork pie hat for summer, which brought me to a short wikipedia trip, which led me further to a listicle on "Light academia films and shows on netflix", because someone wore a hat like that in a movie that was described as "light-academia" style, referencing the article.</p><p><a href="https://collider.com/best-light-academia-films-tv-series-streaming-netflix/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">collider.com/best-light-academ</span><span class="invisible">ia-films-tv-series-streaming-netflix/</span></a></p><p>As you probably know already, I got <a href="https://c.im/tags/adhd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>adhd</span></a> and too much work on my hands at the moment, so let me react to the listicle right now and get some good chemicals out of it.</p><p>1. <a href="https://c.im/tags/Bridgerton" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bridgerton</span></a> is not "academia", it's porn for people who don't like to admit they watch porn. Great show, enjoyed immensly, but not <a href="https://c.im/tags/lightacademia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>lightacademia</span></a> at all.</p><p>2. "Pride and Prejudice" is not "academia" and don't start me on 2005 adaptation, because I want to sit Keira Knightley in an armchair and explain to her why wearing at least short stays is essential for a Regency silhouette. </p><p>3. "Gilmore girls". OK, I admit with reluctance that it is s a modern version of light academia. </p><p>4. I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the 2022 version of "Persuasion". Plus, it's not academia.</p><p>5. "Derry girls" is not light. Wonderful, insightful, funny, but there's nothing light about it and the fact they are wearing non-Wednesday school uniform doesn't make it light. </p><p>6. "Anne with an E", OK, it's kind of Edwardian, so let's give this one a pass. </p><p>7. "To all the boys..." too modern for light academia.</p><p>8. "Sex ed" see 7. </p><p>9. "Call me by your name" at last! Something! Yes! Books, romance, subdued elegance!</p><p>10. "Heartstopper" the fact that it takes place at school AND is lighthearted and sweet doesn't make it light academia. </p><p>Thanks for coming to my TED-talk ;)</p><p><a href="https://c.im/tags/gilmoregirls" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gilmoregirls</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/prideandprejudice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>prideandprejudice</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/heartstopper" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>heartstopper</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/toalltheboys" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>toalltheboys</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/callmebyyourname" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>callmebyyourname</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/sexed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sexed</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/derrygirls" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>derrygirls</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/annewithane" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>annewithane</span></a> <a href="https://c.im/tags/persuasion" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>persuasion</span></a></p>
