I just can't make KDE Plasma work with SDDM on my laptop

I gave up I'll just use GDM3 and boot into KDE Plasma

It goes without saying that I boycott #RedHat and #Fedora. No decent person would ever support a company that supports #Apartheid and #genocide. Period. And that's not even taking into account how badly their shenanigans with #GNOME.

A veces me quedo mirando la pantalla y pienso: ¿se ha activado la luz nocturna? Luego la desactivo y me quedo cegatón medio minuto. Así que sí, la luz nocturna de Gnome funciona divinamente.

Anyone else having problems with saving files in #Firefox? I'm not getting the "save as" dialog in #OpenSuse in #Gnome and the downloads just vanish. Even if I open in a new tab then the tab just gets auto-closed.

If I let it auto-download to the "Downloads" folder then it works. But that's obviously the inferior experience when I want to download to a different directory.

I tested out Guarda GNOME Edition a few days ago. It's an interesting way to check out GNOME 48 without running a beta.

Wow, is it fast. And Nautilus was a speed demon.

It's Arch based, so not my cup of tea, long term (for my use case). But fun, yes.

I am today years old to know that GNOME software is powered by PackageKit that is run in a way that even bypass local PackageKit configuration...

I recently tried working with #openSUSE Leap, but unfortunately, I encountered several issues, particularly with installing applications. Frustrated, I decided to switch to Tumbleweed. So far, I'm very pleased with how smoothly #GNOME runs. I can't complain much, and I'm happy to be using a #distro that has an office in my city. Plus, it's great to support a fully #European distro!

I'm actually having way to much fun with this little pet project. I can now cycle through multiple instance of an application, get media status, etc...

It's intended to facilitate my own personal workflow,
it's not generic enough for public use... yet.
