A light weight and reliable Windows and Mac screenshot program that does 80% of what I usually need. It's been my goto for several years now.There's a few things I'd tweak if I had the programming chops and/or time, but hey, thats true of Windows and MS Office and everything else too.

I use it mostly for the Capture > Screen Recording feature as the after-capture thing ... busts my groove. It's pretty vast. So much to do w/ other projects, I hate to spend so much time on that sort of thing (configuring a screen cap software <a href="https://bird.makeup/users/sharex" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@sharex@bird.makeup</a> )I'd share some of my custom "Image Effects". That's a lot of fun! When done, I discover they're all of the title screen somehow. Argh.So, I played it a few more times. It was a bit tiring. I took screenshots with <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/ShareX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ShareX</a>. When done, its screenshots, too, were unusable.I recorded it using <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/OBS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OBS</a>, which has a mode that's better at recording hardware acceleration, and got my screenshots out using <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/Shotcut" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Shotcut</a>.
