I’ve got a second one coming, but I didn’t realize how meaningful this particular bird was to Humboldt County’s northern California area. It’s a Raven, and I’d received a couple requests from local art fair patrons to make one.I wondered why Ravens in particular, and then chatted with a local Native American artist who said that here in Humboldt County, there’s a lot of them inland among the Redwood trees. And she said they have significance to local tribes. So I get it now. And I’m using this image as an asset in yet another composition I’m working on eventually. But I thought I’d share this phone wallpaper with you.
