A company I bought shoes from last year offered to send me shoes if I wore and reviewed them, and they arrived today in a Saturday surprise. I had NO idea what they'd look like. They have PLENTY of sole... I was 6'3" before, I'm 6'5" or 6'6" now. They look like Imperial shoes on Coruscant in Andor, and they're comfortable so far.

This made me laugh yesterday during 2h and 44min of #StarWars #Andor S02.

Dedra is my favorite character of the series by far. A proper #imperial through and through.

My new idea is to use Roman miles instead of imperial. They’re 1,479 km or thereabouts (it’s an approximation and wasn’t fixed anyway) so i can just round it to 1,5km. Easy to convert to sane measures.

Now i just need to find an imperial measurements user to impress/confound. “Oh, you don’t mean Roman miles? What empire are you referring to?”

Roman miles make more sense than using 996 and 9/16ths Rods or whatever a mile is based on.

The Trump #tariffs are an opportunity for #GlobalSouth countries to shift production away from exports to the #imperial core & toward meeting #human needs & national #development objectives.
