It’s one of several different Coradias I’ve seen in Italy, all with music-themed names. I’ve also seen “Jazz” and “Pop” models, and I gather “Rock” is also an option.Whilst not exactly a fast train, I suspect it’s more to do with line restrictions, as it’s an old mountain route that is mostly single track, than anything else. Yesterday’s trip down on this unit was on time at most of the stations, and in fact arrived 4 mins early at the terminus.

E.g. July 13 --> August 12 23:59.i.e. the <a href="https://mastodonsweden.se/tags/interrail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#interrail</a> pass is not valid anymore after that time. After 23:59 on August 12 it expires.You have to be home before 23:59 (scheduled time) on the last day of validity period. Night trains are practically impossible on the last day of _validity_, regardless of how many _travel_days_ you have left.

Moof! 🏳️‍🌈So, whilst I’m technically not on an <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/Interrail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Interrail</a> yet til Monday, we decided to add a little side trip to our impromptu extra long stay in Sicily. We are heading down to do a sunset tour of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento tomorrow. Total extra cost is 11.40€ per person on a 2 hour regional train. And the hotel in Agrigento is half the price of the Palermo one. You don’t need Interrail to be flexible travelling, but it helps!

("Note: you cannot use your Eurail Pass to take a night train on your last travel day as the validity period will expire at 23:59.")The second part is oddly confusing to me right now. Can someone confirm/explain that?

IanFiled under dull but good to know, Mockava/Suwalki is one of those places where the <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/Interrail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Interrail</a> app can go funny. There's a known issue when it has limited but more than zero bandwidth, and can hang when you try to show your digital ticket. (It just did it to me.) The solution is to switch off mobile data and relaunch. The app is happy running offline, as long as you've been online in last couple of days. In the end I did it the easy & expensive way on the Interrail website rather than the complicated & cheap way through ZSSK or CZ. Fly to Vienna, then it's Bratislava, Štrbské Pleso, Žilina, Brno and into Germany with Dresden, Koblenz and Koln on the way home.
