Clark Terry - self titled
Recorded January 3 & 4, 1955
Released that year

The album is mostly great swing/dance tunes, but it opens with the energetic song Swahili - arranged by Quincy Jones - that everyone should listen to, IMO.

Vince Guaraldi and Bola Sete: From All Sides

The duo's 2nd of 3 recorded collaborations, this album merges the sound of the Vince Guaraldi Trio (of Charlie Brown fame) with the style of Brazilian guitarist Bola Sete.

Out of the blocks, "Choro" is a variation on the 1st movement of W.A. Mozart's Symphony No. 40. Other songs on the album may sound familiar b/c of Vince's later use of them in Peanuts animations.
