Of all the companies in the world that achieved something cool, you choose Duolingo? Yeah they made it fun, but also useless. They used unpaid volunteer work to create their materials. They call the app "free" and force you to watch ads every minute. And they put AI over humans. Awesome example. Way to go. MatiasToday I was called 二货 ("erhuo"), which means "fool" and which I realised sounds very similar to the <a href="https://nattomaki.social/tags/Japanese" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Japanese</a> word 安保/アホ ("aho"). So I assumed that must mean アホ comes from 二货, right? But no, turns out アホ comes from Classical Chinese, and 二货 is modern Chinese slang. So then that must mean 二货 comes from Japanese instead? But that doesn't appear to be the case either.. So are they just similar in meaning and pronunciation by random?
