Looking back at the Magic Leap 1. A high end spatial computing device that retailed for USD$2300. By the end of this year, it will cease to function altogether and apparently turn into an expensive paperweight. #magicleap #ar #augmentedreality #technology #tech uploadvr.com/magic-leap-1-ceas

“Bonesaw is ready!”

Also, while Brin (possibly thinking about the aforementioned Bonesaw) performs a Subservient Mirror, look at the #MagicLeap guy trying to do Tory Power Stance - as ineffectual a pose, as his ponzi-scheme #AR company.

Hello everyone! 👋👓

Today, I'd like to go over a few Eye Tracking / Gaze Features that are now part of the new Magic Leap OpenXR support released recently. We’ll cover the gaze interaction profile setup, requesting eye tracking permissions through CSharp, and creating a mixed reality prototype that makes use of eye tracking data to interact with virtual content.

👉 Full YouTube Video available from: youtu.be/IqZtadtnSeI

ℹ️ Let me know if you’ve any questions as it relates to Gaze Features with ML2 + Unity.

📌 Also, the Unity Project shown today can also be cloned or downloaded from GitHub at: github.com/dilmerv/MagicLeapEy

ℹ️ This project should be ready for you to deploy to your ML2 without any changes. All OpenXR + Gaze + Scripts are included.

This is a big deal 📣

Magic Leap released a new spectator app for iOS which allows you to stream high quality videos & apply camera effects from your mixed experiences.

📲 Here are some of the big highlights:

- Record videos or take photos of AR content
- Adjust image settings for AR content and video feed separately
- Visualize image settings with dynamic histogram
- Toggle autofocus on or off
- Mix application audio with mobile device's microphone input in videos
- Connect to external display via HDMI or Apple TV mirroring
- Hide UI functionality for big-screen passive viewing
- Connect mobile device and Magic Leap 2 over Wi-Fi
- Auto-search for Magic Leap 2 on local network or input manual IP address
- Synchronize point of view with Magic Leap Spectator and printed marker

📌 You can download the app freely from: apps.apple.com/us/app/magic-le

Hello everyone 👋👓

Today, I would like to introduce you to Magic Leap's 2 Dynamic Dimmer, which provides two powerful options for developers by transitioning between realities: Yes from AR to VR & VR to AR!

📌 Full Video available at: youtu.be/5PcN13KvN8g

Both of these are covered in detailed today, also let me give you a few definitions:

👉 A Global Dimmer, which dims the environment to ensure clear, solid, and vibrant digital content in bright areas. Think of this as a tint applied to the background under all the virtual content, in which you can control its opacity value.

👉 A Segmented Dimmer, which allows applications to locally dim just the part of the display with virtual content. This means a subtle tint or border is applied around the edges of 2D/UI content and even 3D content.
