Was trying to update a #SpringBoot project on local PC the other day, yet #MariaDB wouldn't start. So I just converted to an in-mem DB, but ran into ID issues with H2. Left it at that.

Today, I looked depeer into the error log.

It turns out #Selinux was blocking the service from accessing files. Temporarily switched it to Permissive mode via `setenforce 0` - which is a bad idea - but it's a local install anyway, will reset after reboot, & idc, fn. Maria booted up!

Now how to fix this right.

Apparently the 2038 problem was fixed in #MariaDB 2 months ago, and considering the last time I checked up on this there were literally no plans to fix it ever, and some of the projects I've built do have date values beyond 2038 ('lifetime' accounts that expire in 2100 etc ), I'm genuinely a bit relieved about this one!

Absolutely no idea what the status of this is in anything other than MariaDB mind. That's going to be a fun year as a #Gentoo #Linux guy isn't it?

Мудохался два дня, чтобы перенести базу TTRSS с MariaDB на Postgres. Копирую данные с помощью pgloader, переименовываю схему и получаю ошибки 50x и ничего рабочего.

Сегодня попробовал просто создать новую пустую базу. Потом сделал копию всего каталога TTRSS, изменил конфиг на Postgres, добавил в nginx ещё один сайт, чтобы в браузере за клоном следить.

Потом сделал экспорт и импорт подписок, экспорт и импорт постов, поменял пароль, и всё просто заработало.

Пришлось только файлы с фавиконками переименовывать, потому что у фидов id в базе изменились.

Ну и бекап базы переделать.
