Load them up and lo and behold they show exactly the same posts? I was expecting completely different federated “galaxies”. Do I just.. use a single app now? I thought the services were different but hell, I’ve been plenty misguided in the past..</p>

How hard is it to just use line-height: auto; or at least make it user configurable. Completely triggers me.</p><p>Great that the apps are free but good god, bring on the competitors. I’m glad as hell that Reddit and Apollo still work. You heard me - Apollo still works, long as your phone is jailbroken. <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/monaapp" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>monaapp</span></a> is still the gold standard with fedi-apps, hoping other apps will get just as polished one day.</p>
telnetephant<p>Current state of play among iOS Lemmy apps:</p><p>The three leading contenders, <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Voyager" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Voyager</span></a>, <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Mlem" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mlem</span></a> and <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Memmy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Memmy</span></a>, are all making rapid progress, but are still hampered by bugs or critical usability problems.</p><p>Voyager is probably the closest to perfect. However, the app lacks the ability to open a linked post in an internal browser window that can easily be dismissed with a swipe. This means a lot of tedious flipping back and forth to Safari and closing tabs by hand. Switching accounts is clumsy, too.</p><p>1/5</p>
