Christian<p>I don't know what went wrong on this Linux Mint 22.1 XFCE installation, but the Mint theme seems to have broken. I tried replacing ~/.config/xfce4 with working one from a VM and also tried "sudo apt install --reinstall mint-meta-xfce". Eugenia L<p>Finally managed to properly install Caesar III under <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>, to run under the open source re-implementation of the gaming engine, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Augustus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Augustus</span></a>. It wasn't as straightforward under Linux due to case sensitivity on files, and a special tool to unarchive shielded .cab files, but it worked at the end thanks to the wiki. Jan ☕🎼🎹☁️🏋️‍♂️<p>After talking with my parents they seem to be open to trying a Linux variant instead of buying new hardware for Win11. </p><p>I've read good things of the <a href="https://fedi.kcore.org/tags/Cinnamon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Cinnamon</span></a> desktop - I'll test Linux Mint + Cinnamon it and see if that feels at home and works well for what they like to do.
