Echoes in May<p>Struggling with a weak low end in your mix? Try boosting the bass frequencies around 60-250 Hz to add depth and warmth. Just a subtle increase can make a big difference! <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/mixingtips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mixingtips</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/audiotips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>audiotips</span></a></p>
Echoes in May<p>Pro-tip for audio enthusiasts: When mixing, utilize reverb to add depth and space to your sounds. Experiment with different settings to achieve desired ambiance without overpowering the source. Enhance your audio's overall vibe! <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AudioProduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AudioProduction</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MixingTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MixingTips</span></a></p>
Echoes in May<p>Important mixing tip: Ever heard of soft clipping? It's a subtle technique where you rein in and limit audio peaks without causing noticeable distortion. Tweak your input levels effectively to add warmth and prevent harshness in your final mix. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MixingTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MixingTips</span></a></p>
Echoes in May<p>Mixing tip: Handle loud signals smoothly with soft clipping! It helps prevent harsh distortion. Dial in gentle compression to avoid going overboard. Maintain clear, balanced sound by using soft clipping plugins or hardware. Increase and tame dynamic range the pro way! <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MixingTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MixingTips</span></a></p>
Echoes in May<p>Want to add depth and space to your mix? Try using reverb! Adjust its parameters - decay time, size, and wet/dry mix - to create a natural or unique sound. Experiment and find the perfect balance. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MixingTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MixingTips</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AudioEngineering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AudioEngineering</span></a></p>
Endless Blue<p>Fix 2: There was a string part that was just not sitting well in the mix. It was a Mellotron patch, so it was already a little odd sounding and every EQ adjustment I tried brought about a different issue - too shrill, masking the hard panned guitars, etc. After EQing it into oblivion I said fuck it, reset everything and just cut the volume. So much closer! Narrowed the stereo width and there it was, with ZERO EQ on it… once again I had overthunk it, don’t be like me <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/mixing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mixing</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/mixingtips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>mixingtips</span></a></p>
