Sorry if this was a stupid reason for giving you a like and a boost but I noticed that you are using the "More from - Mastodon tech" which makes it so that anyone posting the link you provided will always generate a "More from" with your fediverse username on it.(automatically)

I'm a huge fan of interoperable tech which is why I love the fediverse.

Does your blog have support for ActivityPub?

Continued thread

It does support it! Well done Framablog!

Framablog supports the Mastodon "More from Protocol".(not a thing yet) We need to be better at marketing the "More from Protocol"!

You got any ideas to brainstorm this?

Using the hashtag "MoreFromProtocol" I think is never gonna catch on. What usually survives is shorter stuff...Morefrom on the other hand is just 8 letters. Even if used as "MoreFrom".

Just testing to see if this blog post by Framablog supports the "Morefrom Protocol"(just made it up, don't look it up 🤣)

framablog.org/2025/02/19/un-no

You'll know after I reply to this post if it does support it.

I'm gonna compare this post with this one that did not support it, at least not on mastodon.social!

@rsoemardja

I can't decide what's the best hashtag for "More from" posts but I love seeing them here on Mastodon! Perhaps it's simply "Morefrom".

The blog post itself introducing the feature doesn't even feature the word "more", so I'm still undecided.

Oh yeah, they call it #FediverseCreator officially in the code. I call it #Morefrom cause its shorter I guess.

"Merged via the queue into main with commit ed6d243"
"on Jun 13"(this year 2024)

or version v4.1.18 perhaps? (github.com/mastodon/mastodon/releases?page=2)

June 13 was added when we were still on Mastodon version v4.2.9 and then later 4.1.18 gets released. Oh no, now I'm #confused! How can a new version have a lower version number?

"More from"

1. This is the deal, open that link on social.lol and you see a "More from"
2. Copy that same link in whole and paste it in the search field on mastodon.social and it does not display that.

Update: Now it does! I do see the "More from" now. Great work whoever did it!
