“Acrobatics is the jumpy one. Athletics is the running one.”

“Are you sure?”

“Pretty sure.”

“Well, makes sense, given that he ran around after he got out of the water. So, this time it really was acrobatics?”

“Yeah. Every time he got tired, he’d drink a fatigue potion and get right back to it.”

“He’s dedicated. Good for him.”

“But you haven’t heard the best part. The potions? He made them out of bread and cheese.”

“Isn’t that just a sandwich?”

“RIGHT?!”

“Dude, you’ll never guess what I heard.”

“Jensine, complaining about Thoronir’s low, low prices for the thousandth time?”

“What, no! Shut up. My cousin Gilbert, who works the trade caravan down to Anvil? He saw our guy! Said he was jumping up and down under the low roof of an abandoned house.”

“Why the hell would he do that?”

“Said he was ‘grinding acrobatics’. Wasn’t that was he was doing here?”

“Acrobatics or athletics. I never remember which is which.”

“Hey, is that guy still down there? It’s been a week.”

“No, he came up yesterday. Said he was done, ran back and forth along the dock a few times, seemed pretty happy.”

“His swimming helped him run?”

“Apparently. Oh, and I asked if he was really the Savior of Kvatch, and he got all huffy. Said he was the Hero of Kvatch, not the Savior. Seemed to think it was important.”

“So he didn’t save Kvatch?”

“Yes? No? Do I look like the Title Guard, leave me alone!”

“He’s been down there swimming for 3 days.”

“What, just swimming?”

“Yeah. My argonian friend looked, says he’s wedged himself up against the ship’s keel, and is just swimming in place.”

“But, why?”

“He told Tim — you know Tim, the West Gate guard — that he was going to ‘grind acrobatics’.”

“‘Grind acrobatics’? What does that even mean?”

“Fuck if I know. And he’s supposed to be the ‘Savior of Kvatch’, too.”

“Did he save them from common sense?”

“Hah, good one!”
