Davide Bucci<p>And since I had my desoldering iron hot, I proceeded to an inspection and a partial recapping of the <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/Proteus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Proteus</span></a>/1 <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/rompler" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rompler</span></a> that sits next to the <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/Microverb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Microverb</span></a>. It was a wise choice. Many capacitors on the power supply were in bad shape and would not have survived much longer. There were even signs of leaks on the plastic sheet on the bottom of the case! <a href="https://mastodon.sdf.org/tags/Recapping" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Recapping</span></a>.</p>

Jan Beta<p>New video! I'm starting to restore a very interesting Apple Macintosh Performa 630 in the DOS Compatible variant. It has both a 68040 Mac and an IBM compatible 486 PC in one machine. I was procrastinating this for years, happy that I can finally stop worrying about leakage on these boards. I'll tackle the remaining A600 motherboards in time, but they've already got their caps removed and were cleaned, so no hurry. <a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/recapping" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>recapping</span></a></p>
