Wednesday #Workout:
210 seconds of plank.
11 minutes of yoga for runners.
20 minutes of strength training.
16.2 KM of #Running (-1°C, -8°C windchill, 77% humidity, and 35 KM/H wind, gusting to 54 KM/H).

Good workouts - I can't seem to decide between 10 minute of strength and HIIT or 20 minutes of one is better (alternating days). Thoughts?

Good, if extremely windy run while it tried to snow, which resulted in my being stabbed in the eye by tiny sharp snowflakes. 🤷🏻 Getting there…

🏃🏻‍♂️⏰🥱🏃🏽3h30m Morning Trail Run

Got up early and started running North as soon as the sun ☀️ came up. I arrange with my wife that she and the children would pick me up somewhere after they woke up and have had their breakfast.

I ran along the coastal path of Bornholm (there are signs here and there and a gpx that I used). Easy effort but due to the terrain it was rather tough; got me 545m EG and ~28K.

Then we went for some hiking 🥾

I actually aborted my run this morning before I left the house..

Ok, it did start raining at the moment I was about to leave, and with my ribs still not being 100% after my fall, I'm nervous about #running when it slippery, because I don't want to risk another fall, while I'm technically still recovering.

But mainly, i remembered why I don't and haven't run the route since before covid - I hate the route, sure the off track places are great, but most of the route is to...touristy!

Any other beginner runners find their #running performance really unpredictable? Lately I've been trying to be more consistent in my pace and not go too fast at the start, so I don't conk out at the end. This has been working and my overall 5k time has improved.

Today's run was really windy and rainy and it felt like a massive slog most of the way round. I was sure I was running slowly but it ended up being my fastest 5k so far. No idea why it felt so slow but was actually fast (by my standards). I think I'll have to keep more of an eye on my pace according to my watch, rather than relying on how I feel.
