Of all the classic Star Wars EU ships, the Marauder corvette is the one that looks the most out of place to me. It is a really cool design, and I think would be one of the best looking ships in many space opera settings.
But the smooth surfaces and sweeping lines, its very flat profile, and wings on a non-starfighter just don't look like anything that would exist side by side with a Corellian corvette or Nebulon-B frigate.

Beautiful design, but wrong setting.

GalacticSocial.Network is live — SWTOR players, SW nerds or anyone with a ship or an opinion, get in here!

Screenshots, trash talk, lore debates, bad deals, good deals — it’s all on the fediverse now! Light side, dark side, doesn’t matter… credits still spend the same, with no algorithm that bothers you!

Ask your friends to come, and spend time with your guild members here as well!

Remember the trash compactor scene from Star Wars? The RTS game Beyond-All-Reason (one of the offSpring of Total Annihilation) has a new dynamic map with lava that progressively rises until it leaves only the very center of the map untouched, very much like the trash compactor scene. It's a king of the hill battle and then some.

I have never in 45 years of computer gaming seen another dynamic map like it. Perhaps the closest other was a third-party Dawn of War: Soulstorm map for the Ultimate Apocalypse mod that had a map location that, when controlled by someone, would at intervals spawn a titan unit for that player, and had another location that governed a kill-em-all weapon that would fire across a gap on the map (anything caught crossing when it fired died, period). In that instance the map itself wasn't changing, though.
