"I was blocked from asking Keir Starmer a question [...] about his comments on LBC back in 2023, when he said Israel had the “right” to withhold water and power from Palestinians."

Abbi Garton-Crosbie is a journalist on The National, the only pro-independence newspaper in Scotland, where recent polls consistently indicate a majority of Scots in favour of #ScottishIndependence.

How long will we tolerate Starmer before he and his "union" get the heave-ho from Scotland?

The National · I wasn’t allowed to ask Keir Starmer a question. Here’s what I wouldBy Abbi Garton-Crosbie

Flawed though the Barnett formula is (I would dispense with it through independence), it takes some sort of clown to think that this will appeal to the people of Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse.

But maybe some of them can be persuaded that he was only joking?

In his latest journey to address the restless treacherous ungrateful and feckless subsidy-sooking natives in the North Britain colony, Starmer is in Glasgow today to present his "strategic" defence review.

Curiously, even with all those nukes at his back, he's still too feart to go to Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse.

(For the benefit of our non-Scottish friends there's a Scottish parliamentary by-election there this Thursday.)

"#ScottishIndependence support at 58% if #Farage becomes PM - poll."

" 'Yes' has opened up an eight-point lead, sitting at 54%, when undecided voters are excluded... if Farage were to enter Downing Street and become prime minister, support for Scottish independence would be at 58%."

The First Minster convened business leaders last week in the wake of the announcement, and told the conference the care sector said 26% of their workforce was from abroad.

“If those individuals are not able to make a contribution to our social care system, then I don’t know how we will deliver a social care system in Scotland,” he added.

This week King Charles visited Canada giving a speech to parliament where he said, "Democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, self-determination and freedom are values which Canadians hold dear”. Am I the only person in Scotland who finds the hypocrisy in Charlie's comments on self-determination and freedom, difficult to stomach?

I know a pilot who works on the Forth. Tells me that he is starting to see regular inbound tankers bound for Grangemouth from European ports delivering fuel. Weeks ago they were coming in empty and exporting it out. It is tragic all the skilled people in Grangemouth who have lost their jobs while the UK Labour government did what it always does and forgets whatever promises they made to the people of Scotland and put England first. So much for better together.

Health care - safe in Labour's hands?

The capture of Labour policy on health is illustrated by the news that 'Labour Together', the right wing 'Think Tank' that has driven Starmer into power recieved more than £1M in funding from donors related to private health care.

So Streeting's pension is safe then. The NHS and by extension the SNHS are not.
