@dave noice!
Meanwhile I guess I've to sue #Musk in order to get an #offline-#searchable and #HumanReadable #archive of my #Twitter account and the original deleted.
@abeorch in which case it would be Fediverse server wide?
Let's hope someone comes up with a clever hack to mod robots.txt based on hashtags or something. I have #searchable in my profile and I love how my posts for #AllAngelsJazzBand are amplified in Google by other servers Global pages (way better than IG) but if rather my content stays mine, not belligerently resold as robo-gary
Can we get #searchable #notifications on #Mastodon?
I don't wanna lose my #Wrapstodon. I was on top 8% and wanna look at it from time to time for #nostalgia.
Also if its possible, at risk of repeating myself, why not a monthly Wrapstodon?
Searchable fediverse #searchable
use this to https://tootfinder.ch/join.php
#Index your posts
then find stuff here
Opted in my account to be #searchable at https://tootfinder.ch/ where I see already a list of great opted-in community instances

Timeline transfer is a stupid idea
At least the claws are out. Thanks for telling me I'm stupid. I'll keep that in mind.
Make a blog post.
I'm old enough to remember when this was on advogato and it was called "microblogging" thank you very much.
I have tagged my profile #searchable because my approach to social media is microblogging, and I generally try to put thought into what I post.
The fact that you think I'm stupid for doing this is unlikely to change my opinion.
Now, for at least some of my threads, I do collect them in edited form. Then I often share links to that edited form here. It's rarely on my nominal blog these days; far more likely to be a forum, but I'm not here to argue semantics.
Your arrogant demands are unlikely to change my behavior.
Hey #fediverse, here's a #feditip reminder not to forget to use #hashtags liberally in your toots to make them more #searchable #findable.
Oh, fun! not_on_display posted The Fictional Brands Archive's searchable index, with descriptions of each brand, and browsable by name, sector, category, medium, genre, and "touchpoint." Check out the "Research" section, too, for lots of info and history on brands!

@drewdevault Using #Discord for any serious communication should disqalify the projects and those using it from being taken serious in #FLOSS development at all.
At least with #Mailinglists and #IRC we had the latter problem solved, and whilst a lot of people criticize #GitHub for all the valid reasons, one does not need to have a GitHub account to merely read issues and access documentation published there.
Not to mention Discord has a shitload ob absurd and archaic limitations that have no reason to exist, so even if one were okay with using that garbage #SaaS they'd inevitably run into the limit of "#Servers" [or rather #Instances] they can actually access at the same time VERY QUICKLY...
You also need to put #searchable in your profile if you do want folks to find you by what you wrote without tagging everything.
@grahamperrin if your org can be improved by garbage like #MicrosoftTeams, then that means there was previously not a good way to get hold of anyone nor get people to take ownership of projects or organize effectively.
So I imagine stuff to be way better if it were to use @nextcloud / #Nextcloud to fully organize everything or even just @zulip / #Zulip for effective #Chat that is actually #searchable and not an unstable mess that can't be used on narrowband connections at all...
Also what you described is called #WebRTC, A standard even #JitsiMeet as #FLOSS & #SelfHosting-capable option or even #WebCall of all things does employ.
My latest favorite online tool is #PDF file regeneration with #OCR.
Utilizing these tools I can screenshot some presentation, put those images into one PDF, run it through the service and download a #searchable PDF.
I have no idea what is the business model (my content is no secret) but https://tools.pdf24.org/en/ocr-pdf fulfills my niche need.
Need to search your own toots? Being on an instance like vmst.io or avgeek.social w/ #ElasticSearch is handy. Search <whatever> from:me.
Alternatively, pull and index an RSS feed of your own timeline. All public #mastodon accounts have a built-in RSS. Just add .rss to the end of the URL. So in my case: vmst.io/@user47.rss #Feditips #fediverse #tmyk #searchable #rss
#Discord is worse than #Mailingists, #IRC and #Forums combined because those - like #GitHub #Issues or any other public site & server - can at least be #crawled and #archived in a #searchable fashion.
Whereas Discord is peak #Enshittification and not only #AntiAccessibility but also the worst kind of communication solution, as there isn't even any option to export stuff from within it - something even #Slack & #MicrosoftTeams can do [#Zulip has been able to do that from the start]...
Discord is a bad and wrong excuse not to provide #public documentation and/or downloads.
#GithubPages is free & #DDoS-protected #Webhosting and for fast downloads on the cheap, #BitTorrent exists for almost two decades now...
#paperlessngx is a community-supported #opensource #document #management system that transforms your physical documents into a #searchable online archive so you can keep, well, less paper.
