Mute Swan
The mute swan (Cygnus olor) grows up to 1.6 meters long and can have a wingspan of up to 2.4 meters. They feed mainly on aquatic plants and small animals, such as mussels.


Höckerschwan
Der Höckerschwan (Cygnus olor) wird bis zu 1,60 Meter lang und erreicht dabei eine Spannweite von bis zu 2,40 Meter. Er ernährt sich vor allem von Pflanzen, die im Wasser leben, und kleinen Tieren, wie Muscheln. Markant ist der Höcker über dem Schnabel, woher der Schwan seinen Namen hat.

Female Common Merganser
For this photo, I lay down on the edge of the coast under a camouflage net.
Goosanders (Mergus merganser) belong to the duck family. They grow up to 27 inches tall and have a wingspan of up to 37 inches. They mainly feed on fish. The male has a black head, while the female has a dark reddish-brown one.

Für das Foto habe ich mich unter einem Tarnnetz an den Küstenrand gelegt.
 Gänsesäger (Mergus merganser) gehören zu den Entenvögel. Sie werden bis zu 68 cm groß und haben eine Spannweite von bis zu 94 cm. Sie ernähren sich vor allem von Fischen. Das Männchen hat einen schwarzen, das Weibchen einen dunkelrotbraunen Kopf.
