toottheologinZuende gelesen: Han Kang, Die Vegetarierin. Ein Buch, das auf jeden Fall fasziniert, aber mich auch etwas irritiert zurücklässt, auf jeden Fall Stoff zum Nachdenken. Ort der Handlung ist eine Stadt in Südkorea. Eine in einer lieblosen Ehe gefangene Frau beschließt über Nacht Vegetarierin zu werden. Sie schmeißt alle nicht veganen Produkte im Kühlschrank weg, was zum ersten großen Eklat mit dem Ehemann führt. In der Folge schaukelt sich der Konflikt immer höher, zieht immer weitere Kreise, gewinnt an Brutalität und hinterlässt schließlich beide als psychische Wracks. Noch vieles andere, zum Teil Skurrile wäre zu schreiben. Ob es mir gefallen hat, weiß ich nicht genau, und das Buch ist auch schwer adäquat zu beschreiben. Ich las es im Rahmen meines Amazon Prime Abos. Gekauft hätte ich es mir nicht.
