If anyone who watched The Trunk knows what that genre of music that sometimes plays as the BGM is called—the sort of keyboard-y instrumental 80s ish moody sound—please let me know! I really love that stuff and never know how to search for it!

You have some good ones there! Not my favourite but I watched #TheTrunk in a single sitting so it captured my interest. I suppose I'll eventually see what the Squid Game fuss is about. Goblin is a fascinating story.
I LOVED the first 2 episodes of #WhenTheStarsGossip!! It's far too silly to be taken very seriously but as is often the case, it's layered and there's serious intermixed with the silly. LMH is a delight!

Although the story is languid, the characters are so dysfunctional that you reel from one shock to another. The contrast is excellent. What act or thought makes someone unworthy of love? How do you demonstrate love? Another ending that after consideration is perfect, although initially it felt out of place.

A divorced wife whose ex-husband still loves her applies for a new wife for him from a contract marriage company that provides 1-year contracts. The new couple slowly gets to know each other, but unresolved past traumas arouse suspicions & jealousies & crazy things begin to happen. The synopsis on MDL is wrong again - yes, there is a mystery, but that is not the story & neither is the romance.
Warning - sex, drugs, & suicide are depicted.
The pacing, aesthetics & sound create a sense of isolation fitting the emotionally damaged characters we meet. They all carry baggage (the trunk) that makes their connections to others extremely tenuous. They use contracts, drugs, other people, & avoidance to deal with their problems instead of facing them. The acting is amazing, with some profound dialogue to make us think about relationships differently.

We started watching #TheTrunk last night on Netflix. It's so interesting and intriguing. I'm not minding too much about being confused about what's going on.
And Seo Hyun-jin is in the series, too. Both are usually quite brilliant. I really hope the story is good as well. #TheTrunk
I was like "OMG, YES, SOMETHING NEW WITH #GONGYOO!". And then it's this weird thriller/crime/psychological drama thing. It might be brilliant but I prefer my Gong Yoo more in a romantic drama. Although I get it that it's boring for an actor. #TheTrunk
