One of the things I'm realizing about living in the desert (after almost six years) is just how many problems can be solved by “put a little water on it.”

Hair sticking up funny? Put a little water on it.

Clothes all staticky? Put a little water on it.

Plant looking dried out and sad? Put a little water on it.

Cat being obnoxious? Put a little water on it.

Car too dirty? Or too clean? Put a little water on it.

Because it’s a day ending in Y, I had to “fix” another childproof bottle. This time, Tylenol had the cap that’s impossible to remove when the arthritis in my hands acts up.

The vast majority of childproof caps use this cap within a cap design, and neutering them is as simple as cutting off and discarding the outer cap. With photos showing how I do it.

The scissors used is a titanium EMT bandage shears. They’ll cut through a penny if needed. grainger.com/product/EMI-Shear
