Weary Wulf<p>[P] I hate the "Good boy Ubisoft patched out shrine destruction!" bullshit narrative. That isn"t what happened. Ubisoft ignored the Japanese people about decapitations and shrine destruction, they only acted after launch, when the Japanese government(!) threatened them with blocking the game and a lawsuit. James Edwards<p><a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/AssassinsCreedShadows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AssassinsCreedShadows</span></a> is the most boring AC game I’ve played (been a fan since Black Flag).</p><p>Exploration is continually frustrated by a mountainous landscape where you can’t climb the mountains (an AC game where you can’t climb things??). The story is so mundane, hackneyed and over-acted, with drawn out cutscenes that make me feel like I’m watching a Tarantino parody of a Samurai movie. The sandbox upgrades feel like fixing contrived limitations not gaining upgrades. It’s just tedious as fuck.</p>

Załatwiam wszystkich wrogów przy pomocy tej dwójki, a oni idą na swoje miejsca i zaczyna głośno jęczeć. Żadnej interakcji z nimi nie mogę wykonać, nie wiem o co im chodzi, dlaczego jęczą, jedyne, co mogę zrobić, to zapomnieć o nich.</p><p>Zadanie likwidacji celu to jakaś notka, która pojawiła mi się w "dzienniku" po odkryciu wskazówki. Po zabójstwie celu nic się nie dzieje, dosłownie. Czyli wykonuję questa bez żadnej cut-scenki, bez dialogów. Z jedynie ekranem jak u Tarantino z nazwiskem celu. Koniec zadania. Zabij pozostałych z kręgu, na tej samej zasadzie.</p><p>Wędruję jako Naoe samodzielnie po świecie i idę porozmawiać z celem zadania, zaczynam dialog. Nagle odpala mi się animacja, gdzie z celem jak gdyby nigdy nic rozmawiają jednocześnie Yasuke i Naoe.</p><p>Nie dziwię się, że nie potrafię wczuć się w bohaterów, skoro na każdym kroku natykam się na coś, co burzy mi immersję.</p><p>Jestem w stanie przyjąć pewną teatralność gier komputerowych, że nie wszystko musi być realne, widoczne, konsekwentne, że niektóre rzeczy są umowne. Shadows jednak przekracza granicę mojej tolerancji.</p><p>I żeby nie było, że wymagam cudów, to w ostatnim przykładzie - skoro już twórcy robią cut-scenkę, to czy naprawdę tak trudno byłoby zrobić wprowadzenie trzeciej osoby jako wchodzącej do pomieszczenia, żeby zasugerować, że dotarła chwilę później? W Ubisofcie chyba się nie da. Dwie osoby, cięcie, trzy osoby.</p><p>Im dłużej gram w Shadows, tym bardziej doceniam Kingdom Come 2 za naprawdę filmowe podejście do przedstawiania nie tylko cut-scenek, ale i "gadających głów" (na silniku gry).</p><p><a href="https://f-t.net.pl/tags/Giereczkowo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Giereczkowo</span></a> <a href="https://f-t.net.pl/tags/AssassinsCreed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AssassinsCreed</span></a></p>
Robert A.Mason<p>Próbując nieco bardziej obiektywnie podejść do <a href="https://f-t.net.pl/tags/AssassinsCreedShadows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AssassinsCreedShadows</span></a>, muszę przyznać, że patch jest krokiem w dobrą stronę, to jest bezdyskusyjnie poprawka. Nie rozwiązuje on głównych bolączek tej gry, natomiast nieco poprawia odczucia z czyszczenia mapy z wrogów.</p><p>Jeszcze spróbuję dać szansę tej grze z 1-2h, może więcej i wtedy zadecyduję co dalej.<br>Na razie mam dwie wizje:<br>- odpuścić na jakiś czas granie licząc na jakiś większy patch,<br>- jak najszybciej przejść główny wątek (kusi mnie przejście wszystkich możliwych misji "czołgiem").</p><p>Za pierwszą opcją przemawia to, że Shadows to jednak nie Starfield, więc kolejne patche mogą kiedyś dosyć znacząco zmienić obraz tej gry.</p><p>Za przejściem głównego wątku natomiast przemawia to, że patche raczej nie poprawią miałkości fabuły, więc przejście gry pozwoli mi o niej zapomnieć.</p><p>Gdybym miał ustalić hierarchię, ostatnich Asasynów (wyłączając Mirage, w który nie grałem), to powiedziałbym tak:<br>1. Odyseja<br>2-3. Origins ex aequo z Valhallą,<br>4. Shadows (zdecydowanie na końcu).</p><p>Patrząc na tą serię, zastanawiam się czy Shadows czymkolwiek się wyróżnia na tle pozostałych części? Chyba tylko grafika jest lepsza, ale to nie jest aspekt priorytetowy i mam wrażenie, że jakościowo grafika nie stanowi jakiegoś wielkiego skoku do przodu.</p><p>Pozostałe aspekty Shadows wydaje mi się, jakby wzięte były z najgorszych pod danym względem części:<br>- fabuła - nijaka jak w Valhalli,<br>- eksploracja świata - nudna jak w Origins, a nawet jeszcze nudniejsza,<br>- główni bohaterowie - powiedziałbym, że ich ciekawość jest gdzieś na poziomie Bayeka z Origins. Mam wrażenie, że zapomnę ich równie szybko.<br>- walka? - tu mam wątpliwości, to jest jakaś forma eksperymentu, poszło trochę w trudność (co jest okej), ale jednocześnie ja cały czas mam wrażenie mniejszej responsywności i większej ilości błędów w tym sensie, że dużo częściej w walkach zdarza mi się zrobić błąd przez np. kamerę niż z własnej winy.</p><p><a href="https://f-t.net.pl/tags/Giereczkowo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Giereczkowo</span></a> <a href="https://f-t.net.pl/tags/AssassinsCreed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AssassinsCreed</span></a></p>

Robert A.Mason<p>Wszedł patch Asasyna, jak zwykle wygląda na to, że twórcy zaczynają łatać grę dopiero po jej wypuszczeniu, co jest niestety już brzydkim standardem i dowodzi, że albo beta testy Shadows były zrobione źle, albo zignorowano wskazówki beta testerów. Obstawiam raczej to drugie, bo nawet w grze wśród wskazówek jest jakaś o wspinaniu się po górach. Taka w rodzaju "wiemy, że będziesz miał problem nie mogąc wspinać się w wielu miejscach, więc spróbuj to (dosłownie) obejść" ;-D</p><p>Wśród zmian nie znalazłem jakichś znaczących, które zmieniałyby obraz tej gry.
