Eher am minimalistischen Ende angesiedelt ist der Player Decibels, der zwar über eine GUI verfügt, darüber hinaus jedoch recht spartanisch dem Ziel dient, Audiodateien abzuspielen.

Unpopular opinion: I never liked WinAmp. All those fake little buttons and those non-standard window decorations. No. When I moved permanently to Linux in 2002/2003, I didn't miss it. First on KDE I used Amarok and now on Gnome Rhythmbox. Much better!
