Ok. I'm a grown ass man. Professional even. Probably should do better than the 2nd cheapest backpack from Amazon.

Gotta be able to carry a 15" laptop.

Oh Jesus don't share roller bags. I think I have 2 of those already. I want something cool! Unknown on my budget. Say sub $400?

I've really suffered with backache over the last few days.
For some reason my backpack has been causing back pain on this trip where it's not been the slightest issue on previous holidays.
I'm carrying roughly the same weight, and I've tried adjusting the shoulder straps - but it's only the pills that relieve it.
(It hasn't got a waist strap which might have helped).

I'm going back to my trusty shoulder bag - with hip belt - for the next trip in July.

One of last year's makes: a Persona 5 laptop backpack. I used a Persona 5 t-shirt for the character pictures and the logo, but handpainted the rest of the details on there. I also mostly used thrifted jeans denim as the base of the backpack to make it more sustainable!
The backpack has a laptop compartment and many pockets to not lose your things.
I tried to stay in theme for the background of the character pictures and used Joker's waistcoat as my inspiration.

There seems to be consensus amongst first responders, that a SAM Splint is a super useful tool in the backpack to splint broken bones of any kind.

It is lightweight, super flexible, can be cut with scissors to use it for smaller things like fingers, etc. It easily fits in every backpack.

Today mine arrived to complete my first aid gear. I have chosen the 36" Large edition, which is considered the best size for all-round use (and as mentioned for the smaller things it can be cut as well).

What a trip to the beach! Some sea glass, but most I returned to the sand. No shells this time, my house plants have plenty.
Here are shadow snaps of surf, & backpack, & me, as happy proof.

New gear day. Well first hard trial of new gear.

Backpack: Osprey Atmos AG LT

Shoes: Vivobarefoot Magna Lite SG through their ReVivo program

The shoes are dialed in as I've been out running in them a bit. For the backpack it is good, even when I've yet to dial it in it is nice. Pack plus gear 20kg (2kg+18kg).

Love this #backpack . It's not made of the highest #quality materials tho, so after the soft foam giving it shape had all crumbled within the sides, I cleaned it out and reinforced the back with an old placemat (removable for washing), with buttons to keep it in place. Wonderfully comfortable to carry now. #Repair and #sewing feels so good!
Sorry about the missing alt texts, for some reason pixelfed made me discard the post every time I wanted to save them...
