New hearing aid day.

Every time, it feels like one hand giveth, and the other hand taketh away.

So I'm playing around figuring where each improvement and each disprovement (?) occurs.

Already found that the speech-in-noise really sucks compared to my old ones. The overall sound is better, though. Also, it hates my cell phone. I'll see if my streamer works with it (which is how I fixed it with my previous pair). But my previous pair had some functionality with my phone. This pair has none.

So, Debian/Gnome runs Logitech keyboard no problem. It runs Apple Magic Mouse with no problem; it even lets me fairly painlessly switch the mouse back and forth between it and an actual MacBook.

But it won't run a Logitech M720. Won't even detect it.

Sigh.

I’ve got a stack of CDs I usually listen to in the car. Car is permanently broken. The replacement car has no CD player (#tape or #8track 🤣) so I’ll have do some tinkering.

* First get out an unused #SONY #BoomBox to play #CD s. 📻

* Second locate a #bluetooth transmitter. Check bluetooth standard is BT 5.0 compatible.

* Third, find USB-A to USB-C power for the XMitter

* Four, power supply for boombox, C6.

* Five find a 3.5mm AUX cable to connect to XMitter.

* Six and dodgiest, PAIR bluetooth from boombox XMitter to car.

Now I can run the car audio without #streaming #shite music 🔊, not have to mess around with BS phone issues. ☺️

I've noticed I'm becoming more impatient when using ChatGPT. Problems where it doesn't have good enough data, it seems to do such a wild solutions and driving me to a rabbit holes.

Right now, I'm trying to implement Bluetooth pairing from scratch and create a C1 function to calculate the confirm value. It seems to understand what I'm trying to do, but in the end, I still have to read the whole spec to get this done because it just creates broken code and tests.
