DesertFOX<p>Digitalisiert hatte ich sie ja schon vor einer Weile, aber jetzt hatte ich nochmal das Glück, beide Bücher in schöner Qualität für meine physische Sammlung zu bekommen. Mich ärgert zwar immernoch, dass ich meine Originalfassung aus 1993 irgendwann verloren hab, aber jetzt hab ich endlich einen würdigen Ersatz im Regal!</p><p> &quot;DOORS!&quot; - eine alternative Shell für Windows 3.x.</p><p>Meine Versionen im Internet Archive:<br /><a href="https://archive.org/details/@dfxthomas?query=doors" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">archive.org/details/@dfxthomas</span><span class="invisible">?query=doors</span></a></p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Windows</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Win31" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Win31</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DataBecker" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DataBecker</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/90er" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>90er</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Diskette" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Diskette</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FloppyDisk" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FloppyDisk</span></a></p>
4,00 EUR inkl. Versand?! Und alle noch original verschweißt. Musste natürlich sofort zuschlagen! Also, nicht nur Doors!, aber eben auch. ^^</p><p>Hier der Link zur digitalen Version:<br /><a href="https://archive.org/details/doors-handbuch" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">archive.org/details/doors-hand</span><span class="invisible">buch</span></a><br />Bzw. für das große Buch:<br /><a href="https://archive.org/details/doors-v1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">archive.org/details/doors-v1</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Win311" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Win311</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DataBecker" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DataBecker</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/eBay" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>eBay</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Windows</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/90er" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>90er</span></a></p>

Falls ja, würde ich mich sehr freuen, falls ihr mir ein Foto oder vielleicht sogar einen Scan und ein Disk Image zukommen lassen könntet?</p><p>Das Handbuch gäbe es bereits vollständig hier:<br /><a href="https://archive.org/details/mamba-handbuch" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">archive.org/details/mamba-hand</span><span class="invisible">buch</span></a></p><p>Vielen Dank und ich wünsche euch allen eine schöne Weihnachtszeit!</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RetroGaming</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DataBecker" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DataBecker</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Diskette" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Diskette</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FollowerPower" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FollowerPower</span></a></p>
DesertFOX<p>A while ago, I stumbled over this old, German cardfile software for MS-DOS called CardStar 1.5. It was part of Data Becker&#39;s &quot;Goldene Serie&quot; collection and by itself, it is nothing special. I guess I only kept it, because I just love these classic, large 360K 5.25 inch diskettes!</p><p>Anyway... maybe someone will find this to be useful. Enjoy!</p><p><a href="https://archive.org/details/cardstar15" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">archive.org/details/cardstar15</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MSDOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MSDOS</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/DataBecker" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DataBecker</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/CardStar" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CardStar</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FloppyDisk" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FloppyDisk</span></a></p>

DesertFOX<p>Okay, I was wrong about CardStar being a Windows program. These are DOS applications. DesertFOX<p>I guess most people would consider this a pretty boring way to spend a weekend, but I&#39;m actually enjoying scanning in a new retro manual. Especially when the source material is in good condition so I know the finished PDF will be awesome!</p><p>While working on it, I&#39;m usually also listening to some sci-fi audiobooks, so it&#39;s super relaxing. Only 24 pages left to do, but I&#39;m getting tired.
