Basically a ESP32 super mini C3 you can get for 3$ on Ali these days .</p><p>The idea is that it could be very helpful in building a community — if this was on every board. Thinking of a serial-to-Internet thing so it would also be a terminal where Sentinel owners could exchange messages &amp; data, in the spirit of <a href="https://masto.lema.org/tags/GlobalTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GlobalTalk</span></a> but in text &amp; byte arrays.</p>

Santiago Lema :amiga:<p>So I can officially declare I failed to join <a href="https://masto.lema.org/tags/GlobalTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GlobalTalk</span></a> again this year 🤷🏻‍♂️ </p><p>There are just too many cool things to try out in this world. One day , one day…</p>
Mike<p>It's still on my list to get a SQL Server 2000 instance hooked-up to GlobalTalk. More yak shaving got in the way of that. At least now I have a logo for that project.</p><p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/GlobalTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GlobalTalk</span></a></p>

Karl Baron<p>My <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/GlobalTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GlobalTalk</span></a> zone is down as my ISP does some kind of reconfiguration between them and the telco that runs the physical fiber network</p>

Mike<p>I'm installing SQL Server 2000 and I noticed an interesting option: it supports AppleTalk. </p><p>Do I need to be setting up a GlobalTalk router and adding SQL Server 2000 to the mix? It's so enterprise.</p><p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/Windows2000" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Windows2000</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/SQLServer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SQLServer</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/GlobalTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GlobalTalk</span></a></p>
Ken McLeod<p>netatalk provides a `getzones` command as well as a `macusers` command. This comes in handy for monitoring the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GlobalTalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GlobalTalk</span></a> network and AFP users in the tmux status bar.</p>
Retro Tech or Die<p><a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/MARCHintosh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MARCHintosh</span></a> may be over, but I can still <a href="https://bitbang.social/tags/globaltalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>globaltalk</span></a> at the airport....speaking of can anyone confirm they still see my QEMU RToD 24/7 Zone? It's running on a Nuc on a cellular hotpot in the corner of my office, and I had issues before.</p>

vga256<p>the interior of the cisco 2500 series is particularly interesting as it’s full of 90s era hardware. those are two 8mb and one 16mb 72-pin simms</p><p>rarely mentioned is the cpu that powers this little mighty mite: a motorola mc68ec030 - a 25 mhz embedded variant of the mc68030 cpu in a preponderance of macintosh 68k systems in the 90s. </p><p>this router is effectively more powerful than my mac LC 475 </p><p>i picked this particular router for one reason: it supports AppleTalk right out of the box!</p><p><a href="https://dialup.cafe/tags/globaltalk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>globaltalk</span></a> <a href="https://dialup.cafe/tags/vintageApple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vintageApple</span></a> <a href="https://dialup.cafe/tags/macintosh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>macintosh</span></a></p>
