One hundred thirty-two years ago Annabelle Ranger was issued a license to operate as a private contractor at "The Pit" located in Fort Stockton, Texas

I was at an antique store yesterday and saw this along with two other permits for prostitution similar to it. I wonder if that picture actually is Annabelle. I wonder how long she earned her own money, what she went through, what she saw and experienced. And I wonder what became of her in the years following.
