Kristoffer Lawson<p>One of the main news items at the moment is the recent <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/heatwaves" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>heatwaves</span></a> and record low July <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/iceCover" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>iceCover</span></a> in the <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/Antarctic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Antarctic</span></a>. However July in Finland didn't feel particularly warm. That got me wondering what the situation with the <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/Arctic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Arctic</span></a> might be and why I haven't seen that mentioned in the news.</p><p>Indeed, while Arctic <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/ice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ice</span></a> levels are still low compared to longer term medians, they are not record low. Temperatures also have been 'unremarkable'.</p><p><a href="https://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
