Hummm so anyone from the #joomla developers community who can tell me in what version functions that are set to be removed from Joomla 5.x will actually be removed? Currently on Joomla 6 Alpha 2 and still run into e.g. public function triggerEvent() that is said to be removed but is still in J6?

Running into issues on upgrading a very large (120k articles) Joomla site: upgrade process just times out: this is not good! The upgrade process should limit time spend to time available and then do a redirect to continue with the next 'batch'. A kettingrad solution.
This really sucks as it leaves me with a partly migrated database and doing it all manually in mysql is just to cumbersome :( #joomla

In my last newsletter, I asked: “What #Joomla version(s) do you currently use on your active websites (that need third-party extensions)?”
here’s what they told me:

86%: Joomla 5 (actively using)
48%: Joomla 3 (still in use)
31%: Already planning for Joomla 6
31%: I always wait before upgrading major versions
21%: Joomla 4 (actively using)

Surprised, shocked or whats new?
Thoughts?

Just released 22 (!) new major versions for my extensions as Release Candidate. All technical debt removed so we are good to run on #Joomla 6 and (minimum) Joomla 5.3. Sending out newsletter tomorrow.
What a trip....
Biggest conclusion in making these extensions Joomla 6 ready is that I have to many extensions #lol
Still one very big extension to go... will take me again a couple of days work, but hé... the Joomla show must go on :)
