Ivan G.<p>Hello <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/scribus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>scribus</span></a> users, i want to share a small <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/plugin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>plugin</span></a> i wrote for it. </p><p>Its purpose is to make the creation of a daily planner easier. It require the creation of just a single page, and it generate one page per dey, changing Day of week, Day, Month. Customization is made through a simple <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/json" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>json</span></a> file.</p><p>Any feedback/suggestion/test is appreciated. <a href="https://codeberg.org/dreamos82/scribus_script/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">codeberg.org/dreamos82/scribus</span><span class="invisible">_script/</span></a> <br><a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/MadeWithScribus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MadeWithScribus</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/programming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>programming</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/development" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>development</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/plugin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>plugin</span></a></p>
Kristoffer Lawson<p>Formatting <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/Json" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Json</span></a> from <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/Tcl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tcl</span></a> is weirdly tricky as Json has types and Tcl doesn't really ('everything is a string'). You end up having to define a whole metalanguage of types just because Json needs it. Things are so much more flexible without them in Tcl.</p><p>I have frequently used Tcl lists or dictionaries as a spec format and I kind of wish they were the standard rather than Json!</p>

Kristoffer Lawson<p>In more positive news, I started a new <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/http" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>http</span></a> server library for <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/Tcl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Tcl</span></a> and formulated my first <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/ActivityPub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ActivityPub</span></a> responses with it. </p><p>Complete side project of course, but interesting. I just feel none of the httpd libraries are a particularly good fit (and the one in tcllib is also poorly documented).</p><p>Looks like I might do my own <a href="https://attractive.space/tags/json" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>json</span></a> formatting lib too as the tcllib one is a bit awkward (though will probably wrap around it).</p>

onipa 🇬🇭📖Currently appreciating the beauty of JSON (and its mascot?)<br> <br> I'm working on a little project a lexicon/dictionary called texdict.py (name suggestions welcome). The <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/python?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#python</a> script attempts to convert a <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/TeXLaTeX?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#TeXLaTeX</a> file with glossaries commands (<a href="https://ctan.org/pkg/glossaries" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://ctan.org/pkg/glossaries</a>) and some extra commands (which might be released under texdict.sty (or similar name)) into JSON format and vice-versa. JSON is so nice because it's human readable and computer readable. <br> <br> Do you know of any <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/LaTeX?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#LaTeX</a> packages and or <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/JSON?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#JSON</a> based libraries related to <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/dictionaries?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#dictionaries</a> or <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/lexicon?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#lexicon</a><br> <br> Also, I thought about using the texdict.sty file as the only source of truth for the tex2json and json2tex mapping, but haven't figured it out yet. Any leads would be highly appreciated 🖤📖💽
