We have endured 50 years of creeping authoritarianism and may well now suffer a fascist-like regime because the Democrats, the once-upon-a-time party of FDR, has forgotten what he said.
I've never read anything that convinced me we need to primary all corporate Democrats more than this.

Democrats aren't leftists.
Nation #states are not some natural thing and are a modern invention. They've been #normalised to the point of people just wanting them to be permanent. Many borders themselves are also modern and stem from #coloniality. This is why we want to abolish #nationstates.
It's also very #eurocentric that we should live this way and then be told that the #map given to us drawn by #Europeans, is how we should see and understand the #world. You will get #leftists with knee jerk reactions to this as...

One of the many issues with #BriannaWu is that she declared herself a progressive while espousing #neoliberal views. Neoliberals, like Clinton, support health care, gender equality and lgbtq rights. #Progressives exist to the left of that, pushing quasi-socialism. Progressivism became popular (again) during the 2008 financial crisis, and were inherently questioning capitalism as a result. #Leftists are explicitly anti-capitalist.
Brianna was never progressive, let alone leftist.
Had a #Chinese friend of a friend, in town, and were able to have a reasonable conversation about politics, #humanrights, US-China, and more. In fact, we agreed on most things! Writing critical articles about the Chinese government didn't make me, to them, "anti-China"
Somehow, this type of nuance isn't often possible when discussing #China with (too many)#European or #American #leftists
