Amazing! Here are the veggie plants that are still alive and kicking, having made it through multiple #PolarVortex with subzero temperatures this #winter in the #lowtunnel.

It was a #winter wonderland today!
The wind was calm and it got up to 15°F today. We shoveled a path to the coops and barn late last night, which mostly held until morning. I had to do a little clearing around the drifts next to the solar panels. I dug out the #ChickensOfCoSo and let them all out today. I got the horse stall door open so she could go in/out. The rams' water trough and the #lowtunnel are under drifts.
Harvested the last few remaining chinese cabbages from the #lowtunnel and now I feel like I have frostbite in my hands. Very painful! It's cold out there at 25°F feels like 13°F with the wind.
The condensation on the inside of the 6 mil poly is frozen in the most beautiful designs. It felt above freezing inside the tunnel. I left one cabbage in there as an experiment to see how it fares...
I harvested about a 1/3 of the #lowtunnel today. Need to decide what to do with the rest of what's in there before the #PolarVortex hits!
Also, got the first of the #eggs! I think the #moult is over, but I'm worried the weather will cause the #hens to stop laying again?
Starting to slowly #harvest the #lowtunnel. The collards were small to medium-sized. They really need a couple more weeks...
Update on the #LowTunnel #Garden: everything is getting a little bigger. Still harvesting bok choy. The jury is out on whether the broccoli will produce heads or not...
Opened up the #lowtunnel to water it yesterday. Everything is growing well, albeit slow. Little to no pests. We've been eating a lot of bok choy.
The #Fall #Garden is growing well. Hoping for explosive growth over the next few weeks after it just got about 3 inches of rain over last weekend. #GardeningMastodon #GrowYourOwn #Food #LowTunnel
I've been trying to clear my #lowtunnel bed, but it's so dry, the soil is as hard as a rock. I keep having to put the sprinkler on it, then come back later and pull weeds/grass. I am behind on planting my #fall #autumn #garden, of course. #GardeningMastodon #GrowYourOwn
I had to close up the #lowtunnel for a couple of nights because we've already had a couple bouts of frost damage, so I didn't want to risk anymore. It's been really windy for days, but yesterday was very still in comparison. It was idyllic. Today, she is blowing again! #GardeningMastodon
Brussel sprouts are still alive, but just barely. Next few nights will seal their fate, one way or the other. I've covered them with heavy row cover fabric and then closed the #lowtunnel over top. Now we wait and hope for the best! Friday and Saturday nights are supposed to be in the teens. #Spring
Got down to 16°F last night under the #lowtunnel Everything looks fine except for the brussel sprout #seedlings , which took some freeze damage. The older leaves look worse than the younger leaves. So, maybe weren't hardened off adequately? I think the plants are still alive, but need another day or two to know for sure... Either way, more nights in the 20s coming up, so will put fabric over them with #lowtunnel over top, if they live. #GrowYourOwn #Spring #gardening
