Raccoon🏳️‍🌈<p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/PSA" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PSA</span></a> about some <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/misinformation" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>misinformation</span></a>...</p><p><a href="https://techhub.social/tags/CerebralPalsy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>CerebralPalsy</span></a> is a <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/PhysicalDisability" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PhysicalDisability</span></a>, not a <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MentalDisability" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MentalDisability</span></a>, the same as any other <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/NerveDamage" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NerveDamage</span></a>, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/NervousSystemDisorder" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NervousSystemDisorder</span></a>, or <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/MobilityImpairment" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>MobilityImpairment</span></a>. Just because someone is in a wheelchair and has trouble talking does not mean they are &quot;nonverbal&quot; or have any issue with thinking. In fact, the number one stressor of people with cerebral palsy is the widespread misconception that they have a mental disorder: they are not, they have normally functioning brains with malfunctioning connections.</p><p>Regardless, <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Disabled" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Disabled</span></a> people, mental or otherwise, can still be <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/queer" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>queer</span></a>, and are still able to make decisions about their own lives for themselves. Even a severe mental impairment is not going to make someone believe they are <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/gay" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>gay</span></a> or <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/transgender" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>transgender</span></a> when they are not.</p><p>This is simply a fact of reality, and it is the case whether the president of the United States, the owner of Twitter, or the moderators of Instagram accepted as true.</p><p>- TechHub <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Moderation" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Moderation</span></a></p><p>(Context in reply)</p>
