Sieht diese Burg nicht aus, als sei sie von Kindern aus Sand gebaut? Bodiam Castle in Robertsbridge/East Sussex sieht aus, als stamme es direkt aus einem Märchenbuch, so wie es da steht, umgeben von einem Wassergraben, in dem sich die Burg spiegelt. Erbaut 1385 zur Verteidigung gegen französische Angriffe, bietet sie einen authentischen Einblick in das mittelalterliche Leben und den Burgenbau. Hier werden Ritterträzme wahr. Kinder können auf den Zinnen laufen, Türme erklimmen und durch geheime Treppen und dunkle Gänge schleichen. Die Ruine ist gerade intakt genug, dass man sich alles vorstellen kann – und lässt doch viel Platz für die Vorstellungskraft von Kindern. Es gibt immer wieder besondere Mitmachangebote mit Schatzsuche oder kindgerechten Führungen. Wenn man Glück hat, darf man sich sogar als Ritter oder Bogenschützin verkleiden. Da werden die Erwachsenen dann neidisch. 😎🫣
